JACQUARD SILK BOW TIES

Joseph Marie Jacquard created in 1801 a loom that not only revolutionized the manufacture of fabrics, but also became a conceptual precursor to the development of computer programming and data entry. In the Jacquard fabrics, the drawings are created in the fabric itself, by mixing yarns of different colors, thicknesses and even materials, thus achieving a "three-dimensional" effect which enhances the natural sheen of silk.
